Mary Bishai
Mary Bishai graduated from Cairo University in Egypt with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2001 and a Master’s degree in 2008. She moved to Canada as a federal skilled worker in 2013 and was licensed as a physiotherapist in Canada in 2014.
She has completed further training in pelvic floor therapy (urinary incontinence related to pregnancy, spinal cord injury, and aging), McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, dynamic taping, the APTEI shoulder course, and the GLAD program for osteoarthritis. She also fits custom orthotics, braces, and compression stockings for active patients, and specializes in TMJ dysfunction as well as vestibular and concussion rehabilitation.
Since 2015 Mary has supervised physiotherapy students from Ottawa, Queen’s, Western, and Dalhousie universities. An avid swimmer, badminton player, and cyclist, she has a particular interest in sports injury rehab and, as a mother of three, takes pride in treating blocked milk ducts.
